I had the good fortune of starting at Titletown CrossFit while I was in the best shape of my life… or so I thought. I ran long distance regularly… up to 40-50 miles a week during marathon training season. For me, running was mentally therapeutic and yet the impact of all that “therapy” really took its toll.
I had persistent knee pain, recurring plantar fasciitis, and stiffness in my lower back. It was time to find an alternative to all that running!
Enter CrossFit… Simply put, CrossFit helped me move better. It is only with full concentration and the grace of God that I can talk and walk at the same time… and yet, CrossFit fits.
CrossFit introduces people to functional movements in and outside of the gym. Being taught how to “move” sounds so simple and yet it is often overlooked. Learning to move properly has significant benefits for everyone, especially those who lack mobility, have soreness or stiffness, or nagging injuries.
We work one-on-one with our members to determine and develop personalized plans. These plans include steps to rehabilitate injuries, restore mobility, and rejuvenate ability to live YOUR life to its fullest.
CrossFit Goal: To help individuals break through personal barriers and realize new strengths.
Favorite Workout: Any WOD that has a lot of different movements, low weights and high reps.

I was born and raised in Ironwood, Michigan where sports and activities were always a huge part of my life. Some of my earliest memories as a child are of my mom teaching me how to dribble a basketball and my dad molding me to be the next Ken Griffey Jr. I played 5 seasons of basketball collegiately where I learned valuable life lessons and principles while continuing to fall in love with competition. However, when the final buzzer sounded, I was reduced to an open gym hero and felt incomplete. That is, until my best friend introduced me to CrossFit. I remember looking up at the ceiling after my first WOD thinking, “this is definitely it, this is what I’ve been searching for” and haven’t looked back. CrossFit has improved my life in ways I never thought possible, showing me that barriers are not dead ends, but merely obstacles on the way to victories. Now I want to help you get past your obstacles on the way to your own personal victories.

Born and raised in the heart of Titletown, USA, Jake grew up with a passion for his faith and for investing himself in the wellbeing of others. As a young adult, Jake developed a strong competitive drive as a cross-country skier and runner, competing in regional competitions and completing several Birkebeiner races.
After several years of falling out of shape and taking a break from competitive skiing, Jake became a member of CrossFit Green Bay, looking for an opportunity to regain his passion for fitness (and lose his muffin top). After a couple months, he was hooked. He noticed significant changes in his overall wellness, energy, and performance.
Having experienced a significant physical transformation from his training as well as changes in diet and lifestyle, Jake became increasingly excited about the opportunity to use CrossFit to help others. Jake firmly believes in helping people to experience health spiritually, mentally, and physically. He works full time as the Student Pastor at Life Bridge Christian Church, seeking to share the hope of Jesus Christ with students and families in the Howard-Suamico Community. In his work as a coach, Jake desires to mirror his work as a pastor, glorifying God by giving people the tools they need to thrive and walking alongside them through their physical and spiritual growth.
Jake is also passionate about his role as a husband and father. He currently lives in Howard with his wife Shawna and his three children; Rylie, Judah, and Waverly.
