Favorite Part About Coaching: Watching our athletes accomplish something they didn’t think was possible. The sense of accomplishment fuels everyone in the gym. Also, being allowed to have a hand in our athlete’s fitness journey is an honor. I do not take that for granted.

Best piece of coaching advice for new CrossFitters: Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 10.

Favorite cheat meal: Pizza, sweet potato fries, chocolate lava cake, ice cream…. with friends because gluttony is better in a group setting.

What is the best part about being part of Titletown CrossFit? Without a doubt, our athletes. They bring so much energy to the gym every day that it’s hard not to get addicted to being here. Paleo treat Mondays are a great way to kick off the week and of course, Classic Rock, Beer Chaser Fridays are a great way to head into the weekend.

Favorite part about coaching: Having the best seat in the house when someone reaches a goal, hits a personal best, or accomplishes something that they never dreamed could/would happen.

Best piece of coaching advice for new CrossFitters: 1. Have FUN 2. Technique is king…pair it with intensity and you are capable of great things. 3. Have FUN.

Favorite cheat meal: Chicken wings, pizza, burgers, fries, nachos, chocolate lava cake.

What is the best part about being part of Titletown CrossFit? The atmosphere. Our members have created an incredible atmosphere for me to work in and for themselves to work out in. Our community is supportive, values effort and intensity over scores or numbers, and celebrates each other’s victories as if they were their own.

Favorite part about coaching: My favorite part about coaching is forming a relationship with each athlete and being a part of their journey. It is exciting, and an honor, to help them reach a goal that they never thought they could reach.

Best piece of coaching advice for new CrossFitters: Take a deep breath, relax and have fun. It’s a whole new world with new movements and a language all its own that can be overwhelming. Realize we have all been there and you never will have to go at it alone.

Favorite cheat meal: Pizza, hands down. Though chicken wings washed down by a beautifully constructed burger is a close second.

What is the best part about being part of Titletown CrossFit? Community! Prior to CrossFit I would go to the “normal” gyms with all the dumbbells and treadmills and do my workout and leave. I would never have any fun nor did I get to know a single person. That is completely the opposite at Titletown CrossFit. Yes, the workouts can be challenging, but it is the athlete to the left and right of you that pushes you to get that extra rep or finish a few seconds quicker than you thought was ever possible. It is the community that keeps you coming back for more.
